Don't fool yourselves. Mayweather/Pacquiao is still by far the biggest fight in the sport, both in real life and here on NSB.

People get it twisted because a lot of people are tired of talking abut something they don't think will occur, so in that equation sure Cotto and Canelo would get talked about a bit more because it is likely that will happen and there is little reason to believe BS will stop it (BS may change the date, or location but I don't think it would stop that fight).

If Floyd and Manny becomes a real possibility (huge IF) all that changes, and changes fast. Anyone who doesn't get that doesn't pay close enough attention to how the sport works.
