The issue is the scoring. Those scores are absolutely pathetic. The WBO can't reverse a decision anyway, we know this. I fail to see what they expect the WBO to do here, but we'll see how it goes
Look, the decision was wide but it should mean that they want to ban the ref who gave it 119-109 not that they want to force Abraham into a rematch. It suppose to mean a forced rematch if Abraham's win in it's own wouldn't be legit but since it is legit and the question is mainly about the margin that's not the case. It could be 116-112 or 115-113 for Abraham easily, I gave it 116-112. That doesn't yell for a rematch IMO. And Smith shouldn't be a mandatory for Abraham only becausein reality he lost to 115-113 or 116-112 instead of 119-109.
I'm nor an Abrham fan but it wouldn't be fair with him if he would be forced to do a rematch (cause the refs) with a guy who he has just beat anyway. Sith didn't deserve that wide margin loss but he also didn't deserve a rematch and an other title shot.

I don't know exactly how many gave it a draw but I remember that most of the media scored it for Abraham. The % of scores for Abraham was higherthan the % who gave it to Smith + the % who sw it a drw.

I only want the judges to be looked into, I never said a rematch is necessary. I thought Abraham won aswell, but those scores are criminal. It pretty much shows that those cards weren't reflective of the fight, more of something behind the scenes

It's your opinion whether getting the best of an either-way fight is legit. To me it's what it is, a fight you didn't decisively win or lose. Canelo is the guy I think of when it comes to this, his career is probably going to be built on them.

Really, I don't even see this as an either way fight personally, I would score it a draw at best, but my, and your, opinions really don't matter

There is no other promoter world-wide with so many scoring scandels like Sauerland!!!! Guess he pays the judges excellent......

Smith didn't win, then again I don't feel he lost, the challenger has to beat the champion,in this case he didn't.wide scoring or not Abraham did enough to leave with his belt.

Kalle is tapping into the British market he isn't going to say anything that would alienate his potential fan base, but let's be realistic here, the WBO will be sanctioning the Stieglitz and Sturm fight as they will sanction the winner versus Abraham, which fight will earn more money Abe Smith 2 which let's be frank,it stank or Abe v Sturm which will be possibly the largest fight there in history,it'll sell out any arena, never mind a hall in Kiel.

          This is all irrelevant.

They need to sit down with the judges, re-watch the fight and have them explain how and why they scored it as they did, so that they can give them pointers or retrain them and then monitor their next few scorecards.

I'd also want them to elaborate on any outside influences they felt could have had an effect, in terms of the atmosphere; crowd reaction; the build-up to the fight; conversations with promoters/managers etc. so that they are more aware of these in the future.

I can't see this being underhanded or a fix. It didn't need to be, few expected Smith to win. Plus, if your on the scam you want as little attention as possible directed your way. You'd just score the fight legitimately 115-112 for Abraham.

At most they'll punish the judges....that's the most that will come out of this. Would be surprised if anything else did
