Why doesn't Andre 'Son of Goosen' Ward move up to 175 lb?

He already cleaned out the 168 lb division; he should move up like REAL pound-for-pound fighters have done, i.e. Ray Robinson and Manny Pacquiao.

The word "pound-for-pound" came from when Robinson was constantly fighting and beating the champions in higher weight classes.

I don't view Ward as a P4P guy, especially when there is plenty of challenges out there for him in other weight classes -- Gennady Golovkin at middleweight... Also Sergey Kovalev and Adonis Stevenson at light heavyweight.

Does he think the top dogs at 175 are too big and strong for him? Does he feel that he won't have enough power to keep 175-pounders off him? Wassup??

Ward needs to grow some balls and knuckle up. Stop being scared.

          Why doesn't he fight?
He already said why: he's fed up already -- he's in the sport for 20 years now...

And to answer your question, no he is not scared, what is it with people and trying to label every top fighter scared? The reason why he doesn't want to move up is that there's big money to made around his weight class still. People like Golovkin and Chavez Jr.

I don't give a ****. Let's see a real fight. Ward outboxes both those guys and you know it. Stop defending Ward's ducking. He's scared.

All depends on Goosen... he moves up, no way in hell Ward follows.

Yes smart ass, the guy who already beat Froch, Kessler, Bika, Dawson etc... is scared from two guys who have just broken into the big stage in the last summer, it really makes sense. Think before you comment bullshits... Ward isn't fighting anyone right now because he has legal issues. Kovalev will be out of the picture on the eigth of November but if he wins somehow against Hopkins I can see that Ward challenges him (if he can fight...). And Stevenson is fighing at Showtime while Ward is an HBO fighter. You can pretend that this is not important but it is.
But I don't know why I even bothered to answer in this thread while it' obvious that this is a provocative, hater thread since you called Ward "Son Of Goosen" and think that he scared of anyone. Look at his resume, he really isn't scared of anyone, he hasn't got a reason at all.
