Comments Thread For: Rubio: Beating Golovkin Would Be My Ultimate Triumph

Less than one month remains before Marco Antonio "Veneno" Rubio steps into the ring to trade punches with WBC/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin of Kazakhstan at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. The HBO televised fight takes place on October 18th. Rubio's WBC interim-title will also be at stake.

The Mexican puncher (59-6-1, 51KOs) is training in Oxnard under the direction of Robert Garcia.

Yeah because beating Kelly Pavlik for The Ring, WBC, and WBO 160 titles wasn't all that, that's why he quit, three titles on the line wasn't motivating enough. But this time it's different.

Mayweather vs. Golovkin in 2015! That's what I want to see! It's the perfect matchup for Floyd's 154 defense. No Arum involved, and he's the guy that Cotto, Canelo, and Chavez Jr. have not fought (and Pacquiao will never fight). All the critics could never say again, that Floyd's afraid to lose that "O."

Your dreaming Floyd will either end up like Gerald Mccleam or in a coffin so health comes first if Madaina staggered him with pillow gloves GGG would bury Floyd

People don't want GGG to move up and fight ward, but there's no problem in moving down and fighting a "smaller" fighter smh

And what does GGG bring that pacquiao doesn't???
