Well it's official... Mayweather is shot to shit! I was in denial but this fight confirmed it. All I saw was holding, holding, and holding.

He is 37....and a half...of course he has declined significantly. People fail to realize this. He can't win any way he wants to anymore. He has to be much more strategic with his fights. The Floyd that beat Hatton utterly starches Chino.

When Maidana was able to throw he tagged him several times, Mayweather deserved the win and looks sharp as ever, as I said he would, Maidana also looked good, using feints and good combinations and an improved defense.
Either way both will still make noise in the division.
WAR Maidana!
WAR Floyd!

Maidana did not do enough to win this fight, but Bayless really kept him from working when he had a hand free. At times, it seemed Bayless was preparing to jump in even before Floyd clinched.
In the past, Floyd had wisely avoided counters by smothering and tying up opponents after landing a punch, but tonight he was simply initiating holds, and that was disappointing. There were moments when Floyd's brilliance came out, but these moments are more and more infrequent in his fights and Floyd doesn't seem nearly as motivated to turn his defense into offense. At times, Floyd's performance seemed lazy to me.
Obviously, expectations are set very high for Floyd, but when you campaign as TBE, you shouldn't be surprised that fans expect you to show and prove. I think Floyd will probably opt for Khan in his next fight. Thurman still has a lot to prove in my mind, but I don't think he offers Floyd enough reward for the risk. If Floyd decides to take a risk before he retries, Pacquiao is still the only name that makes financial sense.
