I think this kid needs a Freddie roach or Robert Garcia at this point to get him out of his bad habits. He did look better tonight with the high guard instead of the half ass shoulder roll though which is good.

he can be successful being flatfooted, he probably generates most of his power by being flatfooted

i think he is at times over-confident in himself and it might get him hurt down the road

That's where his power comes from. But on the other hand Floyd is also flat footed & moves way way better than Broner. If Broner can use his hands like Floyd & move around like him while being flat footed..he'll be fine I guess.

Broner is only 25 so he still has time to get better unlike Berto and Matthysee. Both are 31 and haven't beaten any A level fighter. Poor Matthysee he's lost to A B and was almost stopped by a C-level fighter in Jon Molina. I think Matthys done at world level wouldn't you agree?

He lacks defensive fundamentals but roach is offensive minded trainer . Virgil hunter probably be better
