When I first saw this fight was made, I immediately thought of The Great White Hype. It has become a reality, though I'm not going to hate like some people are. The entire point of marketing a promotion is to increase your sales and a white guy facing Manny will sell. I'm not going to be one of the people who buy it though, I'll wait until it's on HBO the next week.

Usually when a white fighter becomes champion american boxing fans (mostly non-white) start to boycott the division and it moves to Europe so I don't know how wise of a marketing ploy it would be if he actually won...

IMO him being white only adds to this promotion with this guys B level skill set and lack of power.
And I don't know why everybody keeps calling this guy slick, IMO gets hit way too much to be considered slick
