Neither of these guys are better when it comes to giving up anything. Pacquiao was justified in his turning down of 40 million at that time. Why would the number 2 PPV star subject himself to a fixed amount of money and give up on his share of the PPV revenue?

When he turned down the 2 week cuttoff, he was still a top P4P fighter (A-side right) and like Hopkins/Jones in their prime, nobody wants to budge.

Floyd will do the same once he has lost a fight, and fights will be a lot easier to make once he starts playing catch-up (i.e. try to make for that one loss by fighting everyone).
Really? Tell him not to come out publicly and say he'll take less money then. Where was the legit counter offer if he really wanted the fight? Pac tried to get 50/50 after saying he'd accept less.

and how does this equate to him accepting a 40mill fixed payment, except for floyd everyone knew what pac meant with that (he was willing to take a lesser percentage of PPV sales)

Why are YOU so concern about what they say to each other? This happens all the time in boxing. Nothing's wrong with that.

I don't know why more people don't feel like this.....at this point, why would anyone care. Now, I wanted this fight "way back" when both seemed unbeatable....that was the lure, now.....we know that's not true anymore.

It's unbelievable how ****** and emotional people get in the Floyd vs Manny situation. Like please stfu and sit down somewhere. "He's always mentioning floyd" or "Floyd always mentioning Paquaio"....do these mofo's interview themselves? Are they standing in front of mirrors asking themselves questions? No dumb mofo's they aren't...they aren't walking up to reporters going "let me tell you something about so and so" so instead of critiquing either man how about you take your frustration on ****** @ss journalists who keep wasting these guys time asking about the other.

For those that speak spanish here's a video of JMM talking about the gloves of Maidana's choice.

Eduardo: So here we are in the "Blow by Blow" (name of the show) ring with Juan Manuel Márquez, all warmed up. We'll try to explain about the gloves of the controversy, the gloves of Marcos Maidana in his fight against Mayweather. So w have here the Everlast MX , made in Mexico. It is made with natural leather, and horse hair padding, these are the gloves that Maidana was not allowed to use in the first fight, and will not be allowed to use on the second one. These are the gloves you have on (Márquez), these are 8oz? These are official fighting gloves and these are used until the welter weight class?

JMM: These gloves are used up to the welter weight, but I must add that if two welter weight fighters want to use 8 oz instead of 10 oz it is permitted. But yeah, going back to the gloves, these gloves feel very very light. They feel as if they didn't have enough sponge, enough protection. As when I punch the bag, I can feel my knuckles. There not much protection in the knuckles.

                  J. Eduardo reads the glove description (I'm sure they took it from the everlast website)

                  J. Eduardo: these gloves, as we can see on the Cleto Reyes, all the force relays on the knuckles and we could say, gloves for knockouts (puncher's gloves). Reyes are slimmer, more compact, use by puncher's as well. Juan, you have always used Reyes, what differences do you find with these Everlast MX?

JMM: Yes, the big difference with Cleto Reyes is that these (Everlast) are wider and you can feel it in the knuckles and wrist they are not very tight. Padding-wise it is almost similar. Cleto Reyes are tighter. Sometimes when a fighter wants to take advantage of another one, they make them use tighter gloves, the hands get numb and you can't feel them, it can also make the knuckles bloated.

Jorge Eduardo: Mayweather metioned that these gloves are dangerous for the boxer receiving the blows, do you think that's the case?

JMM: I think yes, you can feel the knuckles. We can see that these are not very tight, and with not a lot of padding. I don't have proper wrapping, but the wrapping used for a fight is really hard, with all the gauze used and these have little padding. You can use them for 12 rounds, if you're properly wrapped, you will not have trouble, if you feel pain in the knuckles it might be the wrapping not the glove. But these gloves feel good, they feel good for a 12 round fight, or maybe before because you can knockout easier using these.

                  J. Euardo: Can you show us some combinations?

JMM: (As he punches) You can throws this punches (hook, jab etc.) and I can feel the knuckles. You can feel the power of the punch, and I believe that is why Mayweather doesn't want Maidana to use this gloves. Maidana already punches really hard, imagine if he uses these gloves, it will be a stronger punch. Mayweather can go to the canvas.

                  J. Eduardo: Anyone with a decent punch can knock someone out.

JMM: Anyone with a decent punch and these kind of gloves, as I said, gloves that are not tight, less padding and wide. They feel really comfortable.

                  J. Eduardo: If you don't have the gauze padding, there could be an injury.

JMM: Yes, if you are not properly wrapped you can get injured. The gloves feel great.

                  J. Eduardo: The glove is small, it's only 8 oz too!

JMM: It's a small glove, but there's different kinds of gloves. Cleto Reyes get tighter and tighter...

                  J. Eduardo: And Winnings have lots of protection.

JMM: Winning do have a lot of protection.

JMM: These are wide, feel good, hands won't get numb and with less padding.

                  J. Eduardo: These are great gloves for an offensive fighter then!

JMM: These are great for the one who's attacking and throwing a lot of punches.

                  J. Eduardo: Punch the bag, Juanito!

JMM: (He starts punching) I can feel the knuckles. I'll remember and I will want to go back to the gym, you can feel the power of the punch. A punch well thrown and connected and Floyd can get knocked down.

                  J. Eduardo: How did you throw the right against Pacquiao?

JMM: Like these (punches) more or less like that, similar but I need to warm up and I can hit stronger.

J.Eduardo: Well, that is the explanation of JMM. an active fighter a walking hall of fame guy who talks about this Everlast gloves, the gloves of Marcos Maidana. The gloves Floyd doesn't want him to use.

JMM: next week we'll talk about the Powerlock, the gloves Maidana wil use. We will see the differences between the gloves.

                  J. Eduardo: Let's see if we can bring Floyd's Grants.

JMM: For me what is strange is why it's not equal, everything is against Maidana (he is not allowed to use the gloves and he's obligated to many things) and against Mayweather nothing (he implies he takes too much advantage).

                  J. Eduardo: Furthermore, it's not about the gloves. The one who has it, will demonstrate it. (More or less saying, that if you're good, you don't care about the gloves)

JMM: (This last phrase is funny/hard to translate) The one who is a parrot is green everywhere (soo Mexican lol) This phrase means that if you're good, you will succeed anywhere.

What is Mayweathers 5 best victories? and are those victories really worth to be ranked among the real greats such as Leonard or hearns? Pacs resume speaks for it self. sure he was KTFO but he never backed down from a challenge. Can you say that about Mayweather?

LOL damn Pacquiao just KOed Floyd in that interview...

Floyd actually isn't undefeated because he clearly lost to Castillo the first time...

But Pac is on point..Floyd won the title in 5 divisions carefully choosing most of his opponents...

Pac has won titles in 8 divisions and fought everyone put in front of him... Pac never had his advisor/promoter choose an opponent and then refuse the opponent.. that was May...
