Why can't GGG do the same?

As for the Ward-GGG situation. I really don't care about the legal ****. The guy's manager says its doable if GGG wants it. I'm a take his word for it until proven otherwise. I was actually fine when GGG's team came out and said Ward isn't worth the risk/reward. I only recently became annoyed when they came with the PR bull**** about we'll fight, but Ward can't.

On a sidenote. A lot of GGG supporters like to speak on Ward's inactivity. Personally, if he's gonna fight the level of comp GGG has. I'd rather him not fight at all and wait for somebody relevant to sack up.
The point with bringing up Martinez is that he got major credit for years for beating a level of competition that Golovkin is slaughtering in more impressive fashion. Those posters who thought Martinez was p4p king because of those fights can't turn around now and pretend Golovkin is beating nothing but bums.

Ward's promoter says otherwise about him being available to fight, that Ward is turning down the good fights presented to him. Whatever the courts have seen agree with the promoter, not Ward, because they keep ruling that Goossen is in the right.

You can't say you don't care about the legal stuff, when the legal stuff is at the crux of the issue. Ward isn't fighting anyone because he and his promoter have a deep-seated hostility that is preventing the two sides from getting together to make a fight, any fight at all, let alone a Golovkin fight where Ward has already suggested the fight should be PPV, and would probably want PPV money to make it.

GGG is too much of ***** to fight any of the elites around his weight class.....I also find it funny how GGG can hide behind tv networks, promoters and litigation excuses when it comes to fighting guys like Lara and ward but Hopkins was able to work things out and get his fight done with kovalev. GGG fans are gonna scream "it ain't the same thing doe"

GGG is on pace to fighting 4 times in 2014.

How many times has Ward been in the ring in 2014?

          0.

Well you're an idiot, nothing new. GGG just smashed a top 5 rated MW.

Why is Team Ward asking the B-sider to send an offer? It doesnt work like that, right dumba$$?

I can't believe how much vitriol is aimed at Golovkin in boxing comments sections. He's nothing but a humble, genuinely nice, classy champion, and model ambassador for the sport. Ward is not in his division, thats not hiding. Why does he need to abandon 160 before getting a chance to unify all the titles, just to go to 168 and get outboxed by Andre Ward in a dull fight at a stale venue in Oakland?

The point is, Martinez got in the conversation by beating the then P4P #3 (for whatever that's worth) and the then reigning middleweight champion. Its natural for people to get excited about a guy after seeing him defeat that level of comp, regardless of who he fights afterwards. What's not natural is acting like a guy is the f.uck'n GOAT based on destroying ****ty competition, without having defeated anybody relevant at the elite level of the sport.

I don't think anyone is saying GGG is an overrated bum. Some of us just aren't willing to anoint him based on nothing. Whomever this is speaking on behalf of Ward simply echoed what GGG's critics have been saying for awhile now. GGG's supporters are scared s h1tless of a Ward showdown because its a very good chance that this wave of GGG being this indestructible machine will end. And they would rather live a fantasy than face that reality. You're not one of those supporters. But not to acknowledge that a huge number of his fans fit that bill is laughable.

As for Ward's legal situation, I'll defer to you. I'm really not that interested in it. If this guy says Ward and Goosen will work together, cool. If you have knowledge of the situation being otherwise, cool. I'll take your word for it.

Either way, its pretty irrelevant when shaping my opinion because even before all the legal nonsense, to me it was pretty clear GGG's team wasn't all that excited about the possibility of a Ward fight. And everything since has been excuses to justify it when there's really no reason to. A guy isn't obligated to fight a guy in a higher division.

I love seeing all these hypocritical hating arse faqqots saying GGG should move up and face Ward but they don't hold that ugly dog faced faqqot Andre Ward (who expressed a willingness to move up in the future, maybe even to heavyweight) to the same standard.

How long will Andre Ward continue to duck Kovalev and Stevenson?

I'm quite sure Lara would've fought GGG if GGG would've accepted but GGG was content on fighting part time taxi drivers.....
