Article: Martinez cannot sleep at night, seeing psychologist after Cotto defeat

Article is in Spanish but below is a translation from google:

"The Uruguayan manager ORDOBA.- Sampson Lewkowicz, near the boxer Sergio Martinez, sounded the alarm when he explained the situation in Maravilla, who still can not get over the loss to Miguel Angel Cotto in New York. "It's really bad. Says he does not sleep at night. It is with psychologist because he can not sleep, do not react to a loss like that. Says that night (against Cotto) was not him, who knows what happened to him, and That is with psychologist trying to understand his loss. says he can not live without knowing if it is really finished or still has more, "said Lewkowicz, in dialogue with World D.

"We were meeting in Spain and asked me what I thought about his future. Clarified that if I retired I would be happy because, for me, no need to keep fighting. Disagreed But," he added. For the manager, the problem is not in the knees, but they fear that a blow has done damage to the stability of Quilmes.

With the goal post in the recovery and try to return to the ring, the idea that exists in your environment is to fight against one of the Top 10 World Boxing Council (WBC) at Luna Park, but pressure from HBO makes it more likely a comeback in the United States.

He should just retire. Miguel Cotto took his soul.

If I had his money and fame I think I could probably sleep pretty good at night...

Nothing wrong with seeing a professional when it's easily affordable. It always hurts to lose big. Looks like he'll need to fight again to establish whether he feels able to continue.

No you wouldnt. You'd adjust to being rich soon enough and set yourself goals in other areas - like being world class in your craft. And if you lost really big and get super disappointed with yourself, the money wont help with that.

Then you would have never gotten than money or fame. The reason that Martinez is who he is, and so are all of the great athletes, is because of this obsession with being the best.

One of the hardest thing that a champion can deal with is defeat, especially one as talented and prideful as Martinez. I have seen amateur standouts freeze in their first fight, lose and never fight again.

It's a very tough sport, and these fighters have huge ego's. When that ego is broken, it's one of the hardest things to deal with.

Martinez got a lucky decison against Murray guys cmon, he was done before this fight even started.

Like I said, he's done what he needed to and there is no shame in it, other than his dick pics floating about.

Anway he can do so much more now, he's a big name become a trainer and a pretty damn good one too

ThAts weird, because his promoter lou dibella just said he fully supports Sergio coming back for another fight.

Dibella remains a true slim ball.
