I just going to say this and you guys can draw your own conclusion, the guy is 5'3" with boxing shoes, he is 33+, he started fighting amateur at 90 pounds and his weight is 115-118, still he is fighting at 122 and fight night he is only 125, so you are asking something that while he could do it, move to 126, it is a least 2 weight class over his real division, fraptom, quigg, santacruz, martinez are all good fights for him, the ppl that asking for him to go and fight bigger men are the same that are asking ggg to go to168, they just want to see them lose, there's not a real fan sentiment when asking for this only the morbid feeling of a hater, those talking crap about Rigondeaux fear are idiots, if they knew the guy they will never use that word when talking about him,

I can see your point, but as a Rigo supporter I'll also say this: I genuinely believe he could handle a lot of the 'bigger' guys at 126. It's not some morbid suicide mission in which we, the supporters of his, secretly want to see him lose - we just have faith in him being that damn good.

And regarding the stats you brought up, lemme make a comparison: Naseem Hamed. The guy was about 5ft 4, also southpaw, started pro at 115-122, then wound up all the way up at 126 and handled nearly everyone he faced there (except Barrera). Again, I believe it was due to him being that damn good at the time.

So I think it can be done, but would promoters of fighters at 126 even let their guys face Rigondeaux? He's already avoided badly enough at 122. They'd probably scoff "fuck that" at the thought of this enigmatic double Olympic champion midget who could embarrass their supposedly more 'entertaining' stars.

He'll have to call out Frampton after he knocks out Martinez for a second time.

That's the fight I want to see made at 122.

        Battle of The Jackals.
