I think B-Hop is just comparing the situation, not the fighters. Pavlik was also supposed to be the first man to knockout Old Man Hopkins and got schooled. the situation is similar but the fighters are completely different. B-Hop might have some tricks left, enough to take away the power shots from Sergey and maybe frustrate him and make him look bad. Maybe he can still spoil a fight the way only he can. BUT Kovalev has a ton of experience, and has been looking for this fight for the last couple of years. I thought he would beat Stevenson and Hopkins back then and I feel he will hurt Hopkins early. Rewatch the Pascal and Calzaghe fights and you will see just how dangerous Kovalev is going to be in this match up. All this talk from Hopkins is to make believers out of doubters, and doubters out of believers. Kovalev has too much power.

Pavlik was a blown up MW with a sorry trainer.
Kovalev is a full LHW with a great trainer that KNOWS OLD AZZZZ
Kovalev is much more the boxer and PUNCHER than Pavlik !
Kovalev will get that big right hand that is like a lazer in on OLD AZZZZ in the first round and OLD AZZZ will GO DOWN. OLD AZZZ will pull a gimmick to buy time if he is able
OLD AZZZ won't make it thru the 4th but any round until then he WILL be KO'd and OLD AZZZZ will go out to pasture with his thumb in his mouth and wondering what he is, Old azzz has done this too long and the handwriting is on the nice Wall, weighed in the balances and found wanting.

Two reasons this won't happen:
- the Pavlik win was a ****ing masterclass and will be seriously difficult to repeat
- Kovalev is better than Pavlik

Power Sells Tickets but Skills Pay the Bills
Hopkins has made a career of easily defeating "big punchers".. Trinidad, Pavlik and let's not forget he moved up in weight to school Tarver. Power sells tickets but skills pays the bills and when it's all said and done we will once again have been reminded.

If Hopkins is on top of his game reflex wise, he will win. Anything less, and he will lose.
I think it's better to pull out against Bhop than step around him. Bhop's legs and speed is not what it used to be and he's crafty on the inside. We'll see though. Pulling back when you're rangy is great as far as creating counter punching opportunities.
