Hopkins is so many levels above Kovalev. I don't see what the big deal is.
Yes I agree Kovalev is strong and is good at coming forward, but that's it! B-Hop has so many dimensions to his game.
This Russian is KO-ing nobodys and hasn't shown the ability to overcome serious adversity or fight backing up, i.e. setting traps off the back foot.
He also doesn't move his head and has defensive liabilities.
I can see Kov taking a lot of damage to the head from a good boxer. Marcos Maidana is a prime example of a boxer who can be a brawler, yet still move his head, have defense, fight backing up, and overcome serious adversity.
Maidana is better than Kovalev. Fighting bums doesn't prove anything.
