Bermane Stiverne is apparently injured and Wilder will likely take a stay-busy fight

Bermane Stiverne has had a hand injury and won't be able to train for awhile.

Deontay Wilder will likely take a stay-active fight.

Injured my ass. It's probably Don King in the back pulling strings.

When did he injure it? Dude was talking up a November comeback. Probably waiting out the WBC and they order wilder vs Jennings/Perez winner

Wasn't Don King being vocal that Stiverne was gonna fight someone else before Wilder as a showcase fight or something? And now this...

This fight wouldve been made by now.

I know there were rumblings of a Wilder-Stiverne fight on the horizon, but didn't really follow how close the two were to reaching an agreement.

              Sucks, anyways.

I think it would have been a final barometer to see where Wilder actually stood.

It was ordered by the sanctioning body, both guys have been talking smack to each other and I also think Schaefer said they wanted it (don't quote me on this one). But I don't think DK wanted it just yet.

King had no intention of letting that fight happen right now. Hopefully Wilder fights someone halfway decent.
