I remember years back when Dawson/Hopkins was on PPV for like $30.

And that's how this one should have been if Bob had any soul whatsoever. But of course we all know that ole Bob would step over his dying mother for an extra buck.

is anyone giving DeMarco any chance to pull the upset? Vargas is nothing special but there's no chance in hell Arum will let him lose if the fight goes the distance.

"We have two scales upstairs and one of them said he was 143 on the dime and another said he was 143.8," Lane said. "We thought we were where we needed to be. But he had to go to the bathroom and he kind of held onto that. He's fine. ... He just had to go to the bathroom. No exercise. That was it."

        Looks like just scale variance
According to Algieri anyway. Looking at him chugging water during interviews last night I was wondering if the whole thing of tweeting his meals was a double bluff. Making it look like he missed weight due to overconfidence when in reality he had miscalculated and was struggling.

All speculation really. More than likely he was fine.

It's amazing what a difference 1 or 2 pounds can make to a physique.... PAC weighed in 144 against Cotto and was 143.8 last night..

Just saw the PAC Cotto weigh in and PAC looks near identical to how he looked on the scales last night.

PAC will probably come in around 146-148... weird how a couple of pounds makes him look so much more ripped and how he tends to be a lot faster when he's 2-3 pounds lighter in the ring

I'm going Pacman on points but I'm warning you all, DON'T SLEEP ON ALGIERI!

The guy will be absolutely huge come fight night, much taller than Pac, longer reach, in his prime and with quick hands. He could match Manny in there and keep him at range!

Yeah, he made it on the second try 40 minutes later. Here's USA Today:

Manny gets his first stoppage in five years tonight. Wish I could change my vote from UD to tko

I don't know how much I buy this...he didn't look like he put a lot of weight back on versus Ruslan.

Was there a fight night weight given?

People keep saying that Algieri doesn't have the power to keep Pacquiao at bay, but Bradley didn't have the power to do that either and yet in the first fight he kept Pacquiao at range for the majority of the fight.

A well conditioned guy in his prime like Algieri who can pump the jab consistently has a shot at taking rounds if Manny's workrate isn't where it needs to be. In the first Bradley fight it wasn't which is part of the reason the judges gave Tim rounds.

The problem I see for Algieri is that he doesn't have the upper-body movement and evasive footwork of a fighter like Bradley, and when Manny corners him he could be a sitting duck. But if he can keep his composure in those situations, tying Manny up or sliding away behind his jab then he's going to make Pacquiao work all night long.

I'll be surprised if Manny just blows him out.
