I guess options are tiny regarding finding an opponent for Pac right now. but this fight still stinks or the fact that they are discussing it at all.

Be careful what you wish for. This could mean Manny v alvarado which is worse given he's lost and ALgieiri actually won his last fight.

Maybe they just give him ABregu who is his mandatory.

Id much rather see that fight than an Algeiri fight but either way they shouldn't put this **** on PPV without a legitimate opponent, Algieri is not even a welterweight let alone a real challenge for Pacquiao. Its a bad fight on regular HBO but as a PPV its totally ridiculous.

This will be the first Pacquiao PPV that I didn't buy. For as long as I can remember my Saturday nights revolved around boxing but that's all coming to an end lately with all of the terrible matchups they are force feeding us.

To hell with anybody involved in making these **** matchups happen including the fighters for agreeing to them. Honestly is there anybody that actually thinks this is a worthwhile fight? Other than the Pacquiao fans who support him no matter what he says or does of course but even they should have a problem with this garbage.

Time to seriously re-consider giving Marquez 50/50 or fight Abregu @ 147. There's no way to justify a fight with Mike Alvarado. Alvarado has lost to Rios, Provodnikov, and Marquez, and is 1-3 in his last four fights.

Algieri ran and pot-shot Provodnikov after getting dropped and managed to get a gift decision. Provo was regarded as a c fighter until recently by many and still is by some. Few had even heard of Algieri at all before a few weeks ago. Now He has a shot at the #2 biggest PPV draw in the sport, for his biggest pay day ever. Yet he's making demands for more money?? Chris Algieri is one loss from becoming a has been who never was.

Does winning mean anything? What was Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4 PPVs? Was it more than Pacquiao vs. Bradley II? I put it this way, if Manny's only options are Algeri or Alvarado, then he might as well retire. At least fighting JMM (or Abregu) keeps him relevant.
