"Pay-per-view was always designed, as was closed circuit back in the day, for true super fights, not just very good fights. There have been pay-per-views every month and people resent the fact that they're asked to pay extra for anything halfway decent. Boxing pay-per-view numbers are down. Look at the (recent) numbers for the (Floyd) Mayweather and (Manny) Pacquiao fights. The UFC pay-per-view numbers are also down."
Says BOB ARUM, the guy putting on a lot of these fights. Looking to do more of these types of fights. Going to be making more of these statements.
PPV isn't the problem, its the Haymons and the likes getting 7 figure paydays for guys upfront at the table. Then PPV is necessary for anyone to make money after paying the fighter.

All these Haymon fans have an IQ of 70 or less, it has to be because you guys are really ****ing ****** thinking that an OWNER should know the duties of a CEO. I mean seriously, do you think the Patriots owner is the one picking the talent or coming up with the gameplan? Maybe it was Donald Sterling who picked all the right players to put the Clippers in the position they are now after 50 years in the league?

The owner is the MONEY, he signs the check he doesn't run the business that's how nearly every business in any country works. Not if you own a restaurant with 10 employees but we're talking hundreds of employee's. Oscar said "I have the money to start this, but I don't have the brains." So he hired Schaeffer as he should of, it isn't Oscars fault that some guy tried to screw him.

pac should just retire...he got too much in his plate.
he's into politics and now he's about to coach (figurehead) a pro basketball team and wants to play pro basketball too
he's just fighting for the money now. i hope this ppv fails big time but even if it does he will still get paid.
