Dude, he's 23 YEARS OLD for ****s sake. He's already fought the P4P best fighter in the world. Ronnie Shields is a moron for not thinking this out.

He was 22 years old when he was beating the **** out of everyone, didn't even have a ****ing hair on his face.

Canelo is only what 22or is it 23man. Where was Lara at that age not even any where at that level of pro, most likely fighting in the amateurs still working up the ladder.

There's a long tradition in boxing of young up and coming fighters going against ageing versions of great fighters. He's not going to be fighting someone of the calibre of a prime Mosley at age 22 is he.

It's not as if he was seeking out the Lopez fight, wasn't he lined up to face Ortiz until the upset. Not saying Lopez wasn't overmatched, but these things happen in boxing, were a fighter will pull off an upset that earns him a spot in a fight where he's a bit out of his depth.

Ironically when it was Broner under the same scrutiny it was "well he's young doe" and "He's only 22 doe"...stop being hypocrites. You can't expect Crawford, russell, canelo and anyone under below 26 to have an insane resume yet.
Canelo was a pick and choose all the way up to Trout. So Shields ain't lying. Broner did it too.

It's not like they are lying..Up until Trout his career was pick and choose and for anybody saying how young he allegedly is, keep in mind he has over 40 fights and Oscar has been beating it into our heads for years that Nelo was a future great, so let's not act like he just started fighting and needs time to learn...

Ortiz...again you prove my point! Ortiz is a 147 pounder at best. Until Trout Canelo wasn't even fighting guys that were natural super welterweights.
