That was a debatable and somewhat questionable decision,an considering Sturm destroyed Barker, and taking into account how Geale didn't allow Sturm to find any form of rhythm whatsoever, not taking a single clear round in the process.I really fail to see what you base your opinion upon.

LOL at people calling this a mismatch, Geale has a better resume than Golovkin ffs.

Can't wait till Geale puts an end to the hype train. WAR GEALE!!!

It wasn't hard for him to look at boxrec.... people always try to turn things into black and white

I watched the fight. Good competitive fight. I scored it for Barker. Geale was getting tagged quite a bit. If he doesn't bring a MUCH better package to MSG he gets stopped.

I think you guys are putting too much stock in Geale's resume. Besides Sturm who did Geale beat? Mundine & Sylvester? Let's not pretend GGG doesn't good boy those 2.

Sturm is a good fighter who lost to Soliman and arguably lost to Macklin and Murray.

I could see this being a competitive fight for a bit, but i don't think Geale is a good enough boxer to avoid getting tagged by GGG unless he goes into pure survival mode.

We'll just have to wait and see

This is GGG first decent opponent who isn't injured, shot or coming off a loss.

Guaranteed he will be after GGG demolishes him and naysayers need a group to put Geale in

So why are you acting like Geale losing to Barker is the end all to his career?
Ever hear of styles make fights? Solimon did what Macklin did for 12 rounds and even if it wasn't as effective, he outworked the shit out of Sturm.

What did Barker try to do? Got boxed and got beat

I didn't act like Geale's career is over.

When was i analyzing fights? Naysayers argument is "Geale beat sturm". Just trying to point out it's not very strong.

Geale is certainly a credible opponent and this fight is in no way a mismatch. It is however a stepping stone for GGG's career. Yes it's true that GGG has not faced many top elite boxers but in fairness sadly many have ducked him. While Geale will fight his heart out i don't think he will make much of an impact - GGG has a great chin and DG will certainly crumble once he feels the wrath of GGG's devastating body shots. Looking forward to seeing this fight.
Picking GGG by stoppage in 6.

Lets try and remember Sturm was coming off an awesome demolition of Zbik, the same Zbik who arguably beat the tank of a middleweight that was JCCJ.

The Zbik fight Sturm absolutely schooled him before making him quit ! Don't try and tell me Geale will fold once he feels power,he ain't ever been stopped in his professional career, and he has faced LEGIT power at this weight.
