OF course the opponent matters. What a ****** thing for this ******ed chicken champ to say. Thanks to the eye injury he beat Matthysse but Matthysse is back as the number one challenger and this cur would rather fight low ranked guys then fight a top 5 contender. He is supposed to fight Pederson next and that would be an acceptable fight but his dad is already talking his way out of that fight.

Logically it makes zero sense. Less than zero. Nothing good can come of this for Garcia. If he KOs Salka in the first second of the fight, nobody cares. He gets zero credit for beating a complete unknown, unranked opponent.

If he struggles for even 3 seconds -- then he's going to be a punchline. He gets nothing accomplished here.
