Most likely outcome IMO is Sergey by decision.

Everyone is gonna watch this fight holding their breath every time Kovalev lets his hands go to see whether Hopkins gets knocked the **** out. I know I am.

It's not gonna happen though. Hopkins has too many tricks in the toolbelt.

Um...I thought that John David Jackson and Bernard were...friends ? He worked with Naz in Hop's camp. Its part of the reason I had su****ions about how hard Kovalev would come at Hop. HBO 24/7 show last night, Jackson was commenting on Hop, and those were not the kind words of a friend .

He said he's been in Hop's training sessions, and he is indeed an old man, and he wants Kovalev to knock him the F out. Was there a falling out that I wasn't aware of? I expected, you know, Hop is a legend, best man win, blah, blah. Jackson continued, hitting the nail on the head, that Hopkins' opponents get lulled to sleep in boring posing contests. He seems to want Kovalev to do more punching than posing.

Still think the fight will be a stinker, but Jackson and Kovalev seem to have the right mindset.

I got the impression that it was a one-shot. Theres no mention of more episodes. Jackson caught me off guard with those comments. Theres a lot of former Hop acquaintances that wont be exchanging christmas cards with him, so its not shocking . But I didn't hear about any bad breakup. Apparently there was.

Kovalev by KO between 6-10 rounds!

Thing is Hopkins says Kovalev has one bullet to beat him. That is a completely ridiculous comment. He's acting as if he needs to land a lucky bomb. That is simply not true. Kovalev is long, versatile, quick, uses feints and can touch a guy, body and head, easily. And he will begin touching Hopkins too, early in the fight. I really think Nard finally made a bad matchmaking error for himself - a rarity and is in for a world of hurt. Do NOT be surprised if Hopkins feigns a foul to exit this fight. He will be working the ref for as long as it lasts. This is a fight that Kovalev can win EITHER way - decision or KO. But in spite of Nards defensive prowess and ability to stink out a fight, I still lean towards the KO route for this loss. Kovalev is too fierce and with all the subtle things he does, he is uncannily heavy handed.

The 24/7 on this fight was great... great work by the HBO production team... Kovalev's trainer said in the episode that Kovalev needs to come out pressuring Hopkins right away and not let B-HOP dictate the pace of the fight... He said, you get into Hopkins groove and next thing you know you're down 4 or 5 rounds... So hopefully we see an exciting fight... Can't see Kovalev winning a chess match vs B-HOP... very, very curious to see how B-HOP handles Kovalev's power
