pascal sucks, and i think unless he catches kovalev, i think kovalev will just beat the sht outta him and stop him, if i have any other doubts about that fight it's whether or not roy jones reforms pascal into something that's not sht, but i dont find it likely

I favour Kovalev in the fight, but just to make the case for Pascal. When he gets hurt or hit hard, he does go into warrior mode and fires back with combos. See the first 6-7 rounds v Froch or recent Beterbiev sparring. I'm still not convinced Kovalev takes a punch that well.

Hopkins will win this fight easy. I saw Kovalev become slower and tentative in his last fight. I didn't see the Pacquiao type guy who stringed together multiple flurry combos on guys while they laid back and bounced out and came back in with fast combos with power.

Hopkins is going to make Kovalev look bad, Kovalev is going to look like every other B hop opponent, they will try to land a power shot and get frustrated when he ties up and holds.

There's still bad blood, but I'd see them more than willing to have Kovalev fight Pascal so they don't.
But I don't think Pascal would sidestep his mando for the harder fight

They have six Top 20 LHWs: Alvarez, Beterbiev, Pascal, Stevenson, Kovalev, Chilemba. All of their fighters have been on HBO/Showtime as well. The LHW division instantly becomes one of the compelling if they decided to work together. Hopefully something happens soon that improves their relationship.

Kovalev needs to fight at least 3 times next year: Stevenson, Braehmer, Pascal, Alvarez need to be dealt with. If worse comes to worst, Kov should run through Rodriguez/Fonfara/Mohammedi/Dawson/Karpency.
