Comments Thread For: Provodnikov Willing To Go To Cali For Bradley Rematch

Ruslan Provodnikov is very hopeful that he will be able to secure a rematch with former junior welterweight and welterweight champion Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley.

The two engaged in 2013's Fight of the Year. A fight in which Bradley survived two knockdowns to edge out Provodnikov.

Bradley holds a disputed victory over Manny Pacquiao but suffered his first career loss in their rematch this past April. In that loss Bradley took some big shots but never hit the canvas. He took a lot more punishment in his fight against Provodnikov.

Provodnikov is a true throwback fighter and peoples champ. There's no diva in him. He just wants to fight.

I think Pacquiao has turned Bradley into a 'Sergio Martinez'. In the sense that he has given him some major injuries. Not talking trash, I just honestly think Bradley is somewhat hesitant about facing Ruslan. He did try to talk the fight down, in saying that Since Ruslan lost his last fight, the rematch has lost some momentum. But yet he doesn't bring up the fact, that he himself just lost his last fight also. Not to mention a Title and his first career loss.

If power is all you have in boxing then you wont last very long. Provodnikov can fight Bradley 100 times he will still come out second best in all those 100 times.

Ruslan deserves a rematch (with Bradley) more than Maidana does.

I think he won against Algieri, not easy but he won, in turn he wasn't convincing and for me he proved, that he is more Alvarado/Rios level brawler than Maidana/Matthysse level and his tight fight with Bradley (as i always thought btw) was tight because Bradley started to brawl with him and not because Provo is such a beast. I like Provodnikov, but he is a limited brawler, who almost every time beat opponents who can't move from him but get in a brawl with him.
I think on a rematch Bradley won't be so ****** again to start brawl with him, and the fight will be a clinic 118-110 or something like that to Bradley.

2nd best? Bradley stated himself that he was concussed and dizzy for 6 months after thier bout. Even if the judges felt Bradley won in my book that's losing. Bradley sustained life changing punishment in that bout.

Seems the perfect time to do it. Both are coming off losses.

A rematch is fine, but I think the Algieri fight should have showed Bradley how to beat Ruslan: Don't get ****** into a brawl. If Bradley boxes, he will beat Provodnikov. It remains to be seen what kind of adjustments Roach can make in him.
