Instead what is being said, is that Goldenboy has no fights that dates past July. Well that's what partner Bernard Hopkins have told media. I don't hear Arum reaching across the aisle of having trouble scheduling fights, he has fights lined up already in August.
The Espinoza guy from Showtime showed exactly what he thinks about working with Arum when he told him to kick rocks for that lil Russell-Loma conference call. So Oscar unless that changes and changes soon. Oscar is gonna have to make a choice between Showtime and Arum if he wants to "give the fans they want." And if he chooses Arum, GBP is gonna be relegated to TR Jr over on HBO. Which could be Arum's plan all along.

Whats wrong with that? HBO has more subscribers than Showtime. You think Haymon wanted to move to Showtime exclusively? He's not an idiot, he'd get his fighters back on HBO in a heartbeat if he could

From Schaefer's POV. It would irritate the hell outta me if I've basically built a company from the ground up into the top promotional company in the sport. Then the figure head that's basically done nothing but show up at press conferences and take pictures. Goes to rehab, come out working all this recovery bull****, and within a matter of months reduced what I've built up into a farm system for Arum to come and pluck who he wants to make a show with. And play second fiddle to a company that I've surpassed.

Oscar has nine lives and will survive all the drama. He puts a good face on boxing for the latino market regardless of his personal private transgression. He's an ex-fighter, that will always appeal. He may end up with shhh for a stable but he'll have the money and marketing to draw boxers to him for the rest of his life. Now who he has left is the big question...that's all I wanna know. Who he's got and who is going where..

You can understand without being personally affected. Fact is, for all the yappin' that Oscar's been doing, nothing is getting done. And we're no closer to an end to the "Cold War" (sorry, I air quote that cause the term is ****** to me) than we were before Oscar started running hos d1ck lick. And not only has he lost his CEO and biggest client. His own chief business has spoken negatively about the situation. Other fighters have spoken negatively about the situation. And come to find out, he doesn't have near the stable of fighters he thought he did. The situation is a complete f.uckin' mess and there's no resolutions on the horizon. Just a bunch of lip service.

Kind of like Ray Leonard. He still has a hundred million in the bank. GBP should try and hook up with FOX and ESPN like Ray did

Well it's been what 2 weeks since it's happened? lol it's not going to get done over night.

If Oscar can get back working with HBO and other promoters than it's nothing but good for boxing. If Schaefer and GBP don't work together then so be it.

Its not a "couple week" deal. Bernard Hopkins made it very clear that GBP has nothing booked past July. But its fine. If your satisfied with the tease of the occassional big fight and the reality of NO fights. And feel that's good for boxing. I got some swamp land I'd like to sell you.
