And if he chooses Arum, GBP is gonna be relegated to TR Jr over on HBO. Which could be Arum's plan all along.

Originally posted by hitking View PostFrom Schaefer's POV. It would irritate the hell outta me if I've basically built a company from the ground up into the top promotional company in the sport. Then the figure head that's basically done nothing but show up at press conferences and take pictures. Goes to rehab, come out working all this recovery bull****, and within a matter of months reduced what I've built up into a farm system for Arum to come and pluck who he wants to make a show with. And play second fiddle to a company that I've surpassed.

Oscar has nine lives and will survive all the drama. He puts a good face on boxing for the latino market regardless of his personal private transgression. He's an ex-fighter, that will always appeal. He may end up with shhh for a stable but he'll have the money and marketing to draw boxers to him for the rest of his life. Now who he has left is the big question...that's all I wanna know. Who he's got and who is going where..

Originally posted by hitking View PostYou can understand without being personally affected. Fact is, for all the yappin' that Oscar's been doing, nothing is getting done. And we're no closer to an end to the "Cold War" (sorry, I air quote that cause the term is ****** to me) than we were before Oscar started running hos d1ck lick. And not only has he lost his CEO and biggest client. His own chief business has spoken negatively about the situation. Other fighters have spoken negatively about the situation. And come to find out, he doesn't have near the stable of fighters he thought he did. The situation is a complete f.uckin' mess and there's no resolutions on the horizon. Just a bunch of lip service.
If Oscar can get back working with HBO and other promoters than it's nothing but good for boxing. If Schaefer and GBP don't work together then so be it.
