How would Ike Quartey do in the WW division today?

    Post and discuss

    #2
    He would dominate IMO

Very good fighter but just was stuck in a stacked era with pernell, oscar, Tito, Shane..

I have no doubts he would beat Devon, ghost, khan, Bradley..

Manny and Floyd would be the only 2 that could beat him, and that is no guarantee they do..

Ike's jab is one of the best ever...

I agree, and that jab really was something to behold.

He'd be exactly where he was in his prime, among the two or three best in the division. And at the very least would give Mayweather/Pacquiao hell. But I don't know if people have noticed what's going on with the 147/154 divisions now but they are absolutely stacked. Give a couple of these guys another year or two and they may become every bit as good as a prime Quartey and better.

I would of killed for a prime Quartey vs Trinidad fight. Damn!!

But to answer your question, Pac would be trying to drain him, Canelo would be trying to make him come up, Cotto would make him come fight in NY, Mayweather would say it makes no business sense or/and retire yet again.

Quartey certainly beat a prime Hoya! Lol..must be great to be the popular fighter.

I think he'd beat everyone not named Mayweather, and he'd give Mayweather one hell of a fight. He'd also do it reasonably easy for the most part. I think most have forgotten just how good he was.

He'd beat this version of Mayweather in a good fight I think.

I'll take a page out of your book........in 100 years from now, people will only know it because it says a "W" next to DLH.

Remember you told me the same thing when everyone thought DLH beat Tito?
