I can see that happening........It is going to be funny to watch Pac/Larios fight given the huge height difference it may be similar to Tony/Klitchko or something.Pac will crush him to the body tho so please don't think I am saying larios will win or anything.
You said it right bud! Those politicians are giving Filipinos a bad name. It seems to me that power grabbing is a constant picture in the Philippines political landscape. Part of the problem is the opposition who can't wait to get their chance to make it to the "palace" and make hundreds of millions of dollars if not a few billion from illicit government contracts, illegal lottery, kickbacks, bribes and the like.
Another is the adventurous military who has been getting bolder everyday because they get away with coup and rebellion since government is very soft in enforcing the law.
And most importantly, the people see no end to their sufferings and feel that the laws favor only the elite and the rich. Any gain in the economy doesn't trickle down to the masses because most of the industries are controlled by only the rich or 10% of the population. In the mean time prices of foods, commodities, transportation, gasoline, gas, transportation, etc., items that the common people deal everyday are on a steep rise. Add to that a high unemployement rate and low wages and you got a very discontented population.
Sad picture, pal. But, I'm confident ya fellas will be able to turn things around... Though soon just doesn't seem to be soon enough, you'll get there.
i feel like if morales was able to discipline himself and not balloon in weight during the layoff (remember that double chin he had between the first and second matches with pac?) that he might be able to make 130 and be strong at it.
it's now official! pac-larios fight in may will be in san francisco. larry merchant himself said in an interview with ringtalk.com
link here...
I wouldn't consider it official even if Merchant said it himself. If Pac insists that the fight should be in Manila and HBO refused, maybe SHOWTIME will take it instead.

i think its official as far as hbo is concerned. i never mentioned showtime or any other network, did i?
i don't think hbo or showtime is going to take a risk of going to manila to cover this fight considering the present political situation there. it is a big fight i understand, but its not big enough to outweigh the risks especially to an american network in their first attempt at covering an event like this in the philippines.
