Nobody wants to see this fight again...

Cotto should fight the winner of Canelo vs Lara, If Canelo takes the win think how massive the event would be!

I'll give Cotto his props but Cotto winning the middleweight title is like Roy Jones beating John Ruiz for the heavyweight title when you had Lennox Lewis as World Champ. At this Moment I consider GGG to be the real Middleweight Champ. Roach is as good as Mayweather on choosing Opponents and choosing Sergio at this time was good Cherry picking

theres really no incentive to do that. cotto has the lineal title, hes the money maker in the division and hes pretty undersized. id like to see that fight but i wouldnt hold my breath on cotto fighting any real mws next besides canelo, who should be a mw.

I think I could have beat Martinez last night, truly shameful that he even got through the medical.
Ridiculous post. Cotto deserves every ounce of praise that he has recieved and will continue to recieve after the one sided beating he put on the much bigger Martinez.

That cripple was moving just fine throughout the fight. It was that beautiful left hook to the temple In the first round that Martinez never fully recovered from.

He underestimated Cottos power, had no defense and took a beating, It's that simple.

I, like many others on the forum think if Canelo gets past Lara, he will move up and challenge Cotto. If so i can see Cotto taking the chance against Canelo seeing how it would be Saul's first fight at 160 lbs. Plus i think Cotto is aware of his situation, in other words he knows he is quite small for the division he is currently reigning in. Cotto vs Canelo would also provide him with a hefty payday and it would generate electricity amongst fans and media. Both have a chance to win and it makes for an interesting fight, but most importantly it plays onto the Puerto Rico vs Mexico rivalry that we have been deprived of in recent years at such a prestige level.
