WBA interim-welterweight champion Keith Thurman (23-0, 21KOs) would love to face Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) next. Thurman was ringside on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and watched Khan make his welterweight debut with a twelve round unanimous decision over Luis Collazo, who went down three times in the fight.
Khan would like to get in the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr., but there is a scheduling conflict where the British star is unable to meet Mayweather on his target return date of September 13. Khan would like to be back by October or November against a top contender, and Thurman is ready to answer his call.
