Ward needs to get in the ring and fight. DO what he needs to do and then get out of the contract if he is unhappy. I feel bad for him but he better be careful before his career slips away.

Andre Ward is ruining his own career by being such a prima donna.
He needs to man up and take a fight where he doesn't have all the advantages.
He wants Golovkin to move up in weight to fight him in Oakland, but why does he refuse to move up in weight to fight Kovalev or Stevenson?
He insisted Chad Dawson go down to 168 to fight him in Oakland, why won't he go down to 160 and fight Golovkin? He said he's willing to fight Mayweather at 160, why not GGG?

he's obligated to offer him fights, or to at least make an effort to get him fights. it's in the contract.
now, is it realistic to expect goosen to do everything in his power to get andre ward fights? of course not.

Maybe with Ward Goosen cant find him fights. All the names are locked in to other promoters and maybe they view Ward a high risk fight who will beat their fighter and not be part of their promotion company.
Hopefully Ward gets back in ring soon

it still stings, doesn't it tunnybear? if this dude were blonde, blue eyed, and named mikkel you'd be all over his ****.
"not having advantages" has absolutely nothing to do with why ward's not fighting right now, tunneybooboo. he's in a contract with a promotor who isn't getting him fights because he tried to get out of said contract.

This is what happens when you overpay fighters. If you overpay fighters from "X" company the fighters from the other companies want to get paid the same. This networks are subscription based, How many new subscribers does Andre Ward brings?
Another point that no one talks about is that the promoter invest money in the fighters, they don't start making money until these fighters start selling tickets on their own. The promoters are paying for a couple of years of development all those 4,6,8 rounders, staff, uniforms, lodging and travel. Etc. And then here comes another promoter and takes your fully developed fighter.
If I loose my job, I will flip butcher Of I were him I fight in espn. But he has to put his pride to the side. I guess it is hard when you see all theses C and B fighters getting 7 figures for showcase fights.
I fallow baseball and basketball and I don remember hearing this objection about numbers how much Derek Jeter makes or the ratings of the red sox.
SOG has talent but is not the BET & TMZ type and apparently that's what you need to be successful. I don't know about you but I don't care about numbers I'm the one paying, I care about the quality of the fight. Dan is spending money and time in the courts, finish your contract and then sign with who ever you want.

Ward needs to swallow his pride and accept a fight for less then a million. If this is literally how he feeds his family then he needs to realize that making chump change is always better then making no change.
And isn't this the kind of situation a manager is for?
