That was one reason, sure.

Another was because Floyds not fougt a guy who'll take it to him every round for a long time and certainly not since he's been in decline.

And the other was because Maidana would have no respect for Floyd.

I was on a wind up. It was a close fight that could have gone either way with no complaints. The only complaints I have is with the ref who was clearly on message, the wild scoring and the gay stuff about the gloves, other than that, fair do's.

I've never said anything of the sort about Ariza. I have a lot of respect for him as he works in a similar field to me and is one of the best in the world at what he does.

As for Pacquaio, I'd be more than happy for him to fight Maidana. Maidanas a top guy in his weight class so why wouldn't I? I was vocal about wanting to see Pacquaio-Provodnikov and I think a fight between Pacquaio and Maidana would be better and more legit than that.

Of course, but it doesn't make any sense with anything I've ever seen out of Maidana. Not just that he lost, but that he got dominated and looked so bad. It makes no sense when you look at Maidana's career before or after.

A perfect example of a fighter simply having an awful fight, I guess.

khan also beat him similarily, he kept his hands moving to keep maidana out, but he's not that good at turning, he usually only turned maidana when in a clinch, another thing floyd does not do, turn someone when in the clinch

You didnt see floyd grabbing Maidana every time he got near, the elbows etc? Now that's standard fare for floyd, but much like the hatton fight, you have a ref who didnt once penalise or even warn floyd for his indiscretions, whilst pulling Maidana up for virtually every infringement. It really stunk.
