The thing with maidana is no matter how good of a defensive boxer you are, Maidana will find you and hit you from all angles and wherever he can!

Lol.. Chino fought a good fight, but he didn't win. Pro boxing scoring is not much different than olympic style, where you have to hit with the white part of the glove (hence the term "clean punches").

Chino's problem is those wild crazy punches that he throws in close. Most of those aren't gonna count as landed shots by the judges (this is boxing, not a street fight), although the average fans likes to see it because its seems like good action. Unless Chino knocks him down a few times or hurts him badly (which he did neither), he's not gonna get a decision

Olympic style scoring is, in fact, SO different that they just changed it to be more like pro scoring.
