It takes Floyd time to figure his opponent out. Id say around round 5.

No hypocrisy on this thread. The thread is simple.

Larry X and the other fella are simpletons.

There is practically no chance of Floyd being able to defeat GGG under any reasonable circumstances. Fact!

Floyd may be either the or something close to lb for lb TBE but there is no "master plan" that would enable him to "take" Golovkin.

And as another guy has already correctly pointed out, how can a guy who just struggled badly with Marcos Maidana be expected to survive Golovkin? It doesn't make intuitive sense at all!

That may or may not be concerning certain replies here. However, that does not change the ts's tread because of what some people said. Floyd loses badly to a healthy GGG. Weight climbing or weight classes won't change that and has no bearing on that argument.

          cliff notes:
          Ggg vs Floyd @154
          Or
          GGG vs ward @160
Why the F^ck big dogs like ward and Cashcow like Floyd had to fight at GGG comfortable weightclasses??! If GGG want want the glory he shuld make sacrifice just like Floyd and Pacman did. they both jump two weightclasses to secure the fight wit ODLH.

Floyd fought jmm when jmm was a 135lb fighter. It works both ways and floyd is the greatest so it should be no sweat for him

Roberto Duran, who was shorter and had less reach than Floyd, moved up to middleweight and defeated Iran Barkley, who was bigger than Golovkin.

But Floyd isn't as good as Duran, and would be KOed by Gennady.

What round would the KO happen?
It wouldn't happen because Floyd is a natural 130 pounder who is too small for 147. He is not fighting a 160 pounder. The question you should be asking is in which round will Andre Ward, Froch or Bernard Hopkins KO Golovkin if Golovkin developed the guts to fight them instead of chasing after a mid-level opponent in Chavez Jr. or Rubio.

Mayweather is just full of excuses like his fans
Hopkins started and spent most of his career at 160. He is now fighting at 175. That is a 15 pound dfference and about as high as a boxer can go without losing all of his natural skills and abilities. Mayweather started his career at 130 and fought most of his fights at that weight. He has moved up t 147, a 17 pound weigh jump and that is about as high as he can go and still be effective. He did move up o 154 fought three times and won three times, but those were cases where Mayweater was the superior fighter. Fighting a 160 or 168 pounder would not make sense for Mayweather.

Yet Floyd has two solid wins over 154 lb champs.

He is not fighting a 160 pounder.
Except for the current lineal 160 pound champ, correct?

Which one of those (much larger) guys would earn GGG half of what he could make in a superfight with Floyd?

Different situations baby, the first is vs De la Hoya Floyd earn the shot because he is P4P number 1. the second time Cotto earn the shot because he is a big name and can bring 1.5 millions PPV buy.

in what universe is GGG earn a shot for mayweather fight?? the ball is in mayweather hands, if he want to fight GGG then the fight can happen in Mayweather weightclasses also anything mayweather demand (ringsize, gloves, etc).
Or he can climb to 168, beat the champions there and earn his own glory like many past ATG did.
