Not one boxer under the GBP banner is naive enough to think that Oscar de la Hoya is the reason for their success. They have all witnessed Schaefer build their careers while Oscar was snorting and rehabbing. Oscar disappears from boxing if he fires Schaefer.

What would be interesting and would also, throw one hell of a curve-ball in the mix, is HOW all these guys are contracted with Haymon and GBP.

Haymon is a planner, and he may have injected clauses into every contract of all the guys he's been signing up -- One that would allow him to position the fighters to fight for a different promoter other than GBP. Or even worst, these guys may not be obligated exclusively to GBP.

This could have been done in anticipation of a breakup between GBP and Scheffer -- Since it was clear to everyone that ODLH was doing drugs like a fiend.
