Both of them went for it, but Lucas found his groove in round 8 and his work started to look more "instinctive" again. Molina didn't gas in those rounds, he was simply beaten up.
Both deserve props for this fight, but more than anything, Molina has proved that he belongs among the top 140 players and I hope we see both in more fights of this calibre.

He is an ok boxer but take that punch away and he has a hard time. Reminds me of Miguel Cotto. Cotto was very dangerous when he could put hurting on his opponents but when he fought guys who could absorb his power he had hard times. A boxer technical type will always give Garcia problems if Danny doesn't fix his weaknesses. Garcia took Matthysse's punch away and boxed him. Don't see Matthysse over coming Garcia. Garcia has big problems with speed and unfortunately Matthysse ain't fast enough.

Mainly because Lucas seemed to be the better fighter up until the eye and Danny seemed to be at a stylistic disadvantage. The ref certainly helped as well. Remember, that was was decided by a single round despite the eye. It's still a toss up for me if they fight again but Lucas gives the impression that all things being equal that he might edge it. Still, I like Danny too much to not give him his share of props. Toss up for me.
