He resembles the guys they idolize from decades ago, that's about it. He is a mediocre fighter.

The power and nothing else, people will always bring up Brewster and Sanders and Peters and co. WIlder hits harder than all of them. He's bigger and more athletic too.

Other than that, nothing, Wlad is a better jabber, better right hand, better combination puncher, better punch selection, better defense, better footwork, quicker, better stamina...and the list goes on.

No one in this era is going to beat Wlad on points, so skills are pretty irrelevant. Wilder is pretty average and a bum-killer till proven otherwise - if he beats the WBC winner (if he gets that fight) and proves he can at least take a shot, he will have the best chance of beating Wlad because he has decent speed, good athleticism and power. That's what you need to have a chance of beating Wlad...however, that chance is still pretty low. This would probably be Lennox v Michael Grant 2.0.
