Another point that may not have been considered as yet is that once Floyd retires, GBP is going to have a huge void to fill since Floyd's been a monster at generating revenue.

ODLH may be looking ahead and thinking about business without that huge cash cow working with your team.

Outside of Canelo ... Who does GBP have to help fill the void left by Floyd??

No. GBP's association with Mayweather is merely symbolic. They're not making money from his fights. If Floyd had his way, he'll get rid of them. The news about the GBP rift is due to financial problems. Oscar is trying to fix it. You can do the math yourself by starting with Mayweather's $40 million guarantee, expensive undercards, high cost of promoting his fights, etc. No, they're not making money from these Mayweather fights.

You are on the spot. GBP is ****ed with or without Schaefer. LOL

The little $$ GBP made from the Canelo is not even CLOSE for all the loses they generated over the years. BTW, Haymon is overpaying the fighter as well. When promotions cost are added with the split of revenue with the PPV company Al may not look that smart at all. But at this point, GBP is ****ed.

          Possibly RIP GBP.

Guys,... The statement that "They're not making money from his fights" is totally inaccurate. In the following article Shaeffer gives a very in-depth interview and account of how the revenue is generated, who gets paid by whom and the ball-park figures that GBP makes off these fights.

Its a very good read BTW!

First of all, Shaeffer's number need to be taken with A HUGE grain of salt.
The bottom line is that GBP has financial issues speaks much louder than Schaeffer's claim. How about Mayweather vs Guerrero?

If GBP were making "good money", Oscar would not come out the way he is doing. Canelo vs Pacquiao?! Are you ****ing serious? LOL

And why would Shaeffer poo poo himself that he didn't make that $$ for GBP?

IF GBP were making "good money" why would Oscar want to "Thaw in the cold war"? The bottom line is GBP OVERALL has not been making $$ over the years. The investors want to make $$. It's ****ing too late. GBP is dying.

Schaefer is Stringer Bell, and Oscar is Avon Barksdale.

Richard would obviously be the promoter. Haymon is signing all these guys as an advisor.

Technically, we don't know what he does because whenever he signs someone, outlets that report it use the words "(blank) Inks Deal With Al Haymon!" Could be a deal to meet for dinner every 3rd Tuesday of the month for the next year.

Perfect analogy, besides String getting killed.

All due respect, you literally just saw the facts, statements from the horse's mouth, and countered it entirely with speculation.
