    WBA 'regular' junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12KOs) sat down with krikya360.com to discuss the biggest fight of his career, scheduled for July 12th against Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (43-1-1, 31KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight will headline a Showtime Pay-Per-View event.

    Lara has been chasing down a fight with Canelo since 2012. He confronted the Mexican star last month, at the post-fight press conference following Canelo's tenth round TKO victory over Alfredo Agulo. Now Lara gets his wish.

            This should be a good fight. I would love to see Lara put on a good show against Canelo, total shut out. Leave no room for dodgy judges.

              Lara's going to school him 10 rounds to 2, maybe 9 rounds to 3 if Canelo's in the best shape of his life. I wouldn't rule out a late KO win for Lara though.

                When he fought Trout it was a unification bout while [Floyd]Â*Mayweather was the super champ but I guess it was a real title at that time. I think he needs an extra pound so that’s why he doesn’t want to fight for the title.

                When Canelo fought Trout he didn't mind the belt. But we all know he's struggling to make 154 and he's trying to milk it cause he knows he gets owned at 160.

                  Do not sleep on Canelo! If Angulo was able to implement a gameplan - Canelo should be able to also, not comparing common opponents because Angulo was nowhere near the same fighter Lara fought, but Canelo has better skills than the Angulo that fought Lara, and Lara has been dropped and hurt previously. Remember Canelo is on the A side and did not have to fight Lara so that tells you something also - i think this one will be super competitive and i also thin Canelo will surprise, and please do not compare Lara to Floyd, different styles and defense implemented. The Floyd fight really helped Canelo...

                    Exactly. If one judge has the nerve to score a draw in Canelo's fight against Floyd, who knows what the others may have up their sleeve against Lara.
