Not really, unless the fight was in Manchester with his uncles that refereed most of his fights Mickey Vann and Dave parris as the referee. And he still would get KO like a glorified club fighter.

Hatton: "Then came the defeat to Pacquiao. It is well-documented the issues I had in my training camp for that fight.

If I could turn back the clock I would have said, ‘Listen, I’m knackered. I need a week off.’

I’m not saying I would have beaten Pacquiao that night but I would have had a better crack of the whip.

In one of the biggest fights of your career, you don’t want to be thinking ‘what if.’

I can look back on the Mayweather fight and think I didn’t do too bad.

But with Pacquiao I will always wonder ‘what if he got me at my best?’ I think I could have beaten him in my Kostya Tszyu era – I honestly do.

Kostya was every bit as big a puncher as Manny and I was young, unbeaten and fresh. I didn’t have the miles on the clock and I could walk through walls against Kostya. I’d like to think I could have done that against Manny.

By the time I fought him I’d put a lot of miles on the clock. Of course, there is always the chance that with someone as reckless as me that I could still walk on to one of his shots."
I agree with Hatton having a much better shot at Manny in the Tszyu era.

I'm not sure if he would have beaten him but he wouldn't have been one punch knocked out in the 2nd round.

Manny even said after the fight that Hatton actually had hurt him with a body shot and that was a post prime Hatton with a garbage training camp.

Tszyu initiated the low blows first. The rest was in-fighting. Hatton walked through some hard right hands like the terminator. It was a beastly performance against an ATG and you can't take that away from him.

I actually can take that away from him. Hatton fights dirty. Im pretty sure he was elbowing and forearming. That fight was 9 years ago but I remember being disgusted by Hattons tatics. Go fight in MMA if you are going to fight like that.

hatton's best win was tszyu who was past prime and severly dehydrated. some win. any version of hatton still gets knocked out by pacquiao.

It would have to also be a younger, less rounded version of Pacquaio for Hatton to have a chance.

Pacquaio improved his counter-punching abilities as he moved up in weight, he used to be pretty poor at fighting going backwards.

Hatton could not fight southpaws for **** though, he was wide open to a right-hook from lefties. You can see that all the way back to when he fought Eamon Magee.

The speed would always be an issue too. Hatton walked through Tyszu's right hands but he could see most of them coming.

Here's the thing Hatton, you fought Manny a mere year and 5 months after losing your first fight to Mayweather. You outboxed Lazcano and stopped Malignaggi before facing Pacquiao. You weren't washed-up until Manny washed you up, so stop making retroactive excuses and fantasy predictions. Don't go away mad, just go away!
