      Just curious:
These top dogs in the Americas right now how many Russians did they ever fight?
      I'm waiting...

If that's true, then Hopkins should have no trouble beating both of their asses and getting that paper, right? After all, he said he was loyal, but he didn't say he was contractually prohibited from facing Kovalev. One big punch from either of these men would put BHop in defensive mode if not in sleep mode.

When you idiots stop referring to boxing as a "local sport" you'll be better fans of the sport instead of your "local hero's"!

Stop making the sport into a cultural battle it's man vs man not a country pride deal, get over it your not fighting your just yaking like a bunch of girls!!

Bernard like Mayweather won't be needing anyone who has a good punch, works at a good rate and will fight back!!! They have an agenda it doesn't include live bodies!!! However if Bernard decided to actually fight he would give both of the fellows mentioned a better fight than their opponents have given them.

It would be great for the sport and the fans if Stevenson fought Kolav and the winner fought Bernard as his last fight win or loose.

So kids stop the America's or Russian Hero crap, everyone wipes their azzes the same way. Freakin' grow up and show some respect for ALL fighters!!!

You say "show respect for all fighters" yet you always trash on Hopkins. Listen, I know boxing isn't as glorious as it was back in the 1920's when you were in your prime but quit your complaining and just **** up.

              Funny post...

(I don't want to be mistaken as a fan of Russian fighters... I'm not -- I'm not Russian and I don't like them... But it's more and more intriguing the manner in which the top American fighters chose not to fight Russians... It's sometimes comical the way Russians are avoided, there, in the Americas...)

He keeps getting fight offers for some reason. In reality, his best days are behind him, and he can't punch hard. Porter destroyed him. I'm glad you didn't mention Quillin vs Konecny as a good fight, because Quillin clearly plays it safe. He should have gone for the K.O. mid-way through the fight. Hopkins is an old anomaly who fought a self-trained (!), inexperienced, built up fighter in Shumenov. I struggled to stay awake through that. Next week Matthysse, a LWW, is fighting Molina, a LW. Gee, wonder who's going to win that fight? Undefeated slugger Thurman is fighting Diaz, who is coming off of two fresh losses to Khan and Porter. Another gimme fight. To me, the better fights are competitive fights. One-sided mismatches and boring chess match fights are not better fights. Alvarado vs Marquez will be a better fight than Hopkins vs Shumenov, and probably more competitive than the Thurman and Matthysse fights. Too bad Thurman and Matthysse aren't fighting each other.
As I said, Showtime and GBP seem to be building towards the latter end of the year. I think it would be silly to throw Lucas Matthysse against someone like Thurman right after a loss to Garcia. BUt having them in same cards, can build interest in a possible fight down the road. The Porter/Malinaggi fight is easy to in hindsight say it was a mismatch, but at the time it was a good fight. Many of us weren't sure just how good Porter was after beating what appeared to be a lethargic Alexander. Now after being the first one to really destroy Paulie, we know that Porter is the real deal.
Throw him in the mix now. Thurman/Matthysse/Porter/Garcia/Khan/Broner/Maidana/Collazo/Mayweather, all possible fights for the fall.

Beating Stevenson would be enough for me. He is ****ing 50 years old.

It's not his fault Stevenson ducked.

My dislike for Bernard is "business related" and that's what effects his methods in the ring. My dislike is not a personal degrading if you read my posts you would understand that. I don't look at Bernard as an ATG he hasn't fought ATG fighters and his last few years I think is more of a carnival than a self proclaimed great fighter fighting the best available fighters. He is far past his best but the "oldest greatest fools the kids but not the insiders"!

nataz what I forgot you'll never know, I said he could give Stevenson & Kolav better fights than their opponents have isn't that a compliment? I don't think much of them talent wise but when an 50 yr old man has a chance of defeating much younger so-called champs that's pretty good.
Don't be rude to your elders and say things like shut up to me. If you don't like it just ignore me. As I will ignore you nataz is that your name? Funny sort of name? Is that your real name or an internet logo/avatar kind of thing? HA!

Newsflash, f*ggot: Campillo was a top three light heavyweight at the time Kovalev smashed him. He'd spent the previous three years giving boxing lessons to Hopkins last three opponents. But then if you'd actually have seen those fights, you wouldn't be spouting such utter ****e.

Continually discrediting Kovalev only makes your gutless turd of an idol look even worse, turd burglar. No amount of lies will ever change the fact that Stevenson blatantly ducked him.
