The best way to describe Pauli is "decent".

He's a decent fighter, not really impressive in any area other than perhaps speed. He's quite fast.

He's tough as nails and has a good chin and can talk.

Managed to become and solid name for toughing it out in losing performances to top fighters aswell as having a lot to say whilst doing very little.

He is so far from a good boxer. Hatton outboxed him at times for crying out loud.

His defense is so bad and he's so ridiculously one dimensional.

The fact Broner struggled with passed prime version of him and edged out a decision really tells you volumes about Broner. That fight was the day I knew what Broner's real potential was I.e Not bright.

Paulie Malinaggi is a great fighter. Is he the best ever? No.
Has he ever been the best in his division? No.

But not everyone is a HOF fighter. Not every fighter is a Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez type fighter.

Malinaggi is a two division world champion who has been in there with the best, and up until last night he had never been embarrassed like that. The guy is definitely not A class fighter, but to say he is a journeyman is or as your title suggest not a good boxer is ridiculous.

Hatton outboxed him every second of that fight, I don't even think Paulie managed to land 5 solid blows that fight. It was a white wash!

Then he insulted Hatton claiming everything possible went wrong for preparations for the fight refused to acknowledge he was outclassed.

Listen, we know that he's a good or even great fighter if you compare him to myself, yourself and a bunch of regular Joes.

However, he is not a good boxer at the elite level in boxing.

He lost badly to Cotto, Hatton, Khan and Porter. He lost 7 or 8 rounds to Broner, he got a gift against Cano.

Now if your argument is that beating N'Dou who everybody has beat and Senchenko make him a good fighter in boxing's elite you're delusional.

He acuses Broner of being spoon fed. Broner's actually beat better guys than N'Dou and Senchenko. See Paulie's record before Cotto, it is very cotton-like.

Any boxer being in the top 20,30 is good, really good and it's tough, tougher than we can imagine, especially if you've had 4 hand surgeries but the fact of the matter Paulie at world championship boxing has always been the weakest link.

I love his commentating but when he talks about his career he is delusional and I can understand this, but he never ever assumes any responsibility for his failures, it's always somebody else like his trainer, is chef, his best friend...I thought Broner won 8 rounds but because everybody wanted Broner to lose that bad a lot of people had it closer for some spiteful reason, next thing you know Paulie hears that and he starts running around talking about how he beat Adrian. He knew he lost, he admitted he lost in the ring and then he heard about the compassionate judging from fans and some of the media and he actually believed and started running with it. He lost to Cano for Christ Sake!

I love how these so called "boxing fans" trash Paulie. You don't get to be a 2 weight champion while being feather-fisted by being a bad fighter.
