Styles make fights, Lesser fighters have beat Greater before.

Just because fighterA beats fighterB easily and people perception is that fighterB is levels greater then fighterA's next opponent (fighterC), does not make it a foregone conclusion that fighterA will automatically beat fighterC.

canelo had the wrong game plan. the young buck was inexperienced. he should've used the angulo strategy and battered mayweather into a tko win

Maidana has just as bad stamina, less skills, is slightly smaller and has less power Imo.

He's also not taken out the likes of kotelnik, Khan, morales, Corley, Alexander, broner etc...

He has no ko chance at all. Not even 1 percen.

Canelo would have if Mayweather was a one dimensional brawler with slow foot and hand speed.

Because Maidana isnt the same fighter with Garcia

he now has slick skills, a pinpoint jab and the stamina of a prime Hercules

Yeah.. I thought that would have been obvious from the Marquez v Bradley v Pacquaio fights here recently.

              Guess not.

He doesn't have much of a chance lets be honest,a few fans have managed to kid themselves into thinking maidana could win but I'm more realistic than that.if mayweather has a bad night then it could be competitive and I'm hoping that's the case as ill be staying up to watch it,but I'm not going to hold my breath

Canelo came into the ring to box Floyd first and then tried to brawl and go all out, chino is coming in to maul his ass and make Floyd fight a war a good example would be porter vs Alexander

Canelo made a mistake of not using his weight/size advantage to maul Mayweather and he didn't exactly emphasize on cutting of the ring though we know Mayweather is an elusive and slippery fighter on the ropes.

Canelo tried to box Mayweather despite having only experienced such a situation with Trout which he won convincingly but not impressively (portraying his inexperience in my honest opinion)

Maidana will by his statements have been conditioned to go 12 rounds of pushing his game plan into effect which is most likely to go all out from the start and make it an ugly fight.

Do I think it will work?
In theory no, as Mayweathers footwork and distance will prevent Maidana even landing anything and will result in him being countered.
Broner didn't even use the ring effectively, Floyd will.

In practice well the situation remains very different as one mistake could result in a dire situation as Maidanas angle power punches can find an opening at any given moment.
