Comments Thread For: Bradley's Trainer Tabs Pacquiao Avenge Marquez Loss

Joel Diaz, trainer of WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley, is picking Manny Pacquiao to defeat Juan Manuel Marquez - if the two fighters ever come together for a fifth fight. Pacquiao suffered back to back losses in 2012, against Bradley and Marquez. He avenged his twelve round controversial decision loss to Bradley last Saturday night, when he dominated in the second half to win a clear unanimous victory. Marquez knocked Pacquiao out in the sixth round of their fourth meeting in the same year as the Bradley loss.

In Pac's prime, Pac was almost invincible he didn't need boxing skills. Now older, the butterfly unravels. ATGreatness witnessed.

A 5th fight is almost impossible! The Mexican Crying Baby doesnt want to fight pac now coz "he wants to maintain that feeling"! ahahahaah what a gay excuse. Pac gave him 3 rematches and Cryquez after winning 1 match, forget directly about the rematch. A typical mexican... Dont want any part of Provo and Rios. Mexican = Warriors??? I doubt that... :P

The only way Marquez will ever be able to beat Pac is by KO. And I don't see him doing it again. I got Pac every and any time these two fight. I'm glad Marquez was able to get a W but let's be honest Pacquiao will ALWAyS win more rounds than Marquez in a 12-round fight.

          Two things blocking Pacquiao-Marquez 5:

          1) Alvarado beating the taco out of Marquez
          2) Marquez wanting to keep that feeling

it's true he had marquez hurt but in all honesty marquez gets hurt in most fights. juan diaz almost knocked him out but he always bounces back and wins so just cuz manny had him hurt didnt really mean that he would have won the fight if marquez hadnt knocked him out. everyone is always saying if marquez didnt land that punch, manny would have won the fight. he may well have but it wasnt a guarantee like many people insist.

as for a fifth fight i think it would be even more in marquez' favour. now that manny knows marquez can send him into a coma with timing and accuracy, he might be more reluctant to open up against him. manny might have hurt him in the fight but marquez scored more knockdowns and had everyone wondering if manny was seriously hurt. that's not something that will be lost on manny. it will be in the back of his mind (like he had admitted when asked why he didnt press for the ko against rios). i dont think a fifth fight would go as well for manny as everyone is expecting.

5th fight would just open more questions. Their legacies are secured without each other IMO. PAC is past prime as well as Marquez. Just like the 4th fight.

Please no fifth, Pac can't reclaim back what happened in the 4th no matter what fashion he beats Marquez in. Pacs recklessness cost him the fight he was about to take over.

Marquez ended the rivalry with a historic KO, but sadly Boxing is a business if the $$$ is right and Marquez beats Alvarado which is a toss up then it will be sad to say a fifth fight is likely.
