I could hear the same sentiment felt quietly by people like Holmes, Hagler, Foreman, RJJ, SRL, Holyfield, Tyson, Corley, and many others. And these folks are boxers. They're also blacks. How are you going to convince these guys that Floyd didn't duck Pacquiao? It's impossible. It's not like these are Pak tards.. lol
Question: Freddie, you seem to be suggesting just there then, even about Floyd Mayweather, that perhaps he even wants the fight with manny, or wanted the fight. but he was talked out of it by someone?

Freddie Roach: I know fighters. And fighters, they're not afraid of anybody in the world. They will fight each other I think... When they were both in their prime two years ago, and there was a lot of interest in the fight, I'm sure both fighters wanted to make that fight happen.

Lol at people thinking this is some kind of smoking gun for Manny being the reason for no fight.
Most of the somewhat level headed Pac fans have said the fight didn't happen because of Floyds extra demands at first for testing. Many of us admit we were disappointed with Manny for not accepting. The thing is tho, Manny did eventually accept those terms. Floyd then moved the goal posts back.

Another thing about the video that the Floydiots aren't mentioning is that Roach said that the interest isn't like it was 2 years ago, but that Floyd didn't want the fight then.

People sure do love to pick certain parts to make their side sound better.

All party have a certain amount blame for the fight not happening, but the lion share is def on Floyd, especially currently.

Lol at people posting the Pac-Kenny video also. Could someone post the Floyd-Costas interview for a fighter looking like a fool in an interview.

It should be obvious. If business negotiations fail the first time, both parties will be reluctant or uninterested to meet at the business table for a second time.

Floyd had to give that man a fair shake and had to deal with Arum as Pacquiao's promoter and would have to deal with it being a co promotion with his former boss. Now, this is not the case. Manny's stock has dropped significantly and Floyd not only became a bigger star in boxing but now he's also a major figure head on the business side as well. So much so that now he can cut Bob out if he wants because he and Schaeffer can foot this promotion entirely by themselves. Richard and Floyd would be just giving away Money by allowing Arum to co-promote it when he does not have to. So, due to Floyd's substantial growth in the sport, he no longer has to deal with a guy he doesn't like, that he would have had to 5 years ago. Still not making sense?
1a and 1b on what? Mayweather has always drawn more than Pacquaio on PPV. Floyd was already the bigger star - the biggest in boxing. His PPVs with Oscar and Hatton did more than Pacquaio's so why was he offering 50/50 then and willing to deal with Arum then? No it doesn't make sense.

This has got to be one of the worst atmospheres for an interview ever! All of that background noise made it a struggle to even hear Roach, much less understand him! That said, I did manage to hear him say at some point that it is both fighter's fault the fight hasn't happened. I also caught the most important point, that Mayweather is unlikely to risk retiring undefeated. Given that he is currently giving all kinds of "reasons" to not face Pacquiao, while Manny is saying 'let's do it', it's obvious that Floyd doesn't want the fight.

Yeah which makes it strange that Floyd would apparently "agree" to 50/50. Even though he repeatedly said in the media that Pacquaio wasn't getting an even split.

I wonder if it would be an acceptable excuse if Pacquiao suddenly said he didn't want to deal with Richard Schaefer.

Because there was potentially a lot of money involved, and he seems quite interested in making the fight happen. Also, the key thing is that he has great business partners on his side now (unlike most of the Top Rank days). So with Haymon on his side, he could be confident that a great deal would be struck and he wouldn't get ripped off, cheated, etc.
