Maidana is great but let's quit the delusional bs. He's very inconsistent and was a neanderthal in the ring up until recently. The Broner fight was the fruit of his training and showed that he can still grow as a fighter. But, he had very limited skills up through the Alexander fight and Devon exposed him, big time. Hopefully his new found technique and decline will be enough to keep him from getting completely blown out in the Mayweather fight. I'd love Maidana to beat Mayweather but I'm not going to lie about his chances.

maidana was probably feeling lonely that night and "fighting" alexander was cheaper and more convenient than paying for a **********.

he refused to be clinched by broner, it was very evident.

if they fight again, it won't be the same.

He didn't get outboxed? Then what is losing at the very least 9/10 rounds?

Its not Alexander's problem but Maidana's job to do something about the clinch. Porter and Bradley did happen to neutralize the clinch then why couldn't Maidana? Then again Morales came close to beating Maidana with 1 eye for 11 rounds.

Its great your boy got the Floyd fight, but don't distort facts.

Maidana is a tough and simple guy from a small argentinian village, of course he looked lost in this fight, some grown men was hugging him like every 10 seconds, russian and argentinian fighters are not used to that gay ****, you know...

a very fit alexander had to clinch a lethargic half retired Maidana in fear.. lmao

Beast mode Maidana works out of the clinch and chews devon up. Bet.
That's a worse excuse than Haye's toe for Wlad.

Also Maidana being ill isn't Devon's problem is it? just like Khan being drained wasn't for Prescott or being over trained vs Garcia.

Beast mode Maidana couldn't stop or "chew" a shot Morales with 1 eye for 11 rounds, in fact there was an argument for a draw.

Porter and Bradley did neutralize Devon, so enough with the clinching excuses.

So Maidana loses a fight, where he lost 9/10 rounds and now its a farce?

Just because Maidana is fighting Floyd (good for him) doesn't mean his past loses are not loses anymore. Stop distorting facts.

Maidana got dominated (out clinched ,out worked and at times yes out boxed), and i'm a huge fan. It was a massive disappointment for me. I knew something was wrong at the weigh in as he was even softer than usual, looked like he didn't give a f uck. Then a few days later i checked his facebook and he was at the beach all week prior to the fight and was pondering retirement due to a few bad years. (Khan loss, RG fight falling through and his trainer getting ill.

Maidana is in a much happier place now with Garcia and Ariza and wouldn't fight that bad vs Devon in a rematch, vs Broner he got out of clinches and was way more active, vs Devon he gave up and hardly threw.

I have no doubts that Devon beat the worst possible version of Maidana that night, i even said he should retire after that as his head was clearly out of the game. Glad Maidana got his hunger back and found Garcia to help his career out.

If Floyd thought like you guys, that he was facing the same fighter who looked terrible vs Devon than he would be in serious trouble. Luckily Floyd is smart and knows Maidana could be trouble, i expect win or lose Floyd to be in a hard fight May 3rd.

Maidana was outboxed..No need to lie about it,he was dominated in that fight..Not to mention he was dominated by Khan..I only gave Maidana like 3 rds in that fight..Movement hurts Maidana, and unless he's change as a fighter(which I doubt)and I mean drastic change..I see movement being his downfall again..

There's an argument Maidana won rounds 3,6,7,10,11 and 12. Khan won but it was close (all 3 judges gave him 5 rounds, 1 gave him 6 rounds) and khan was taken to the hospital post fight and that night took something from him for sure, took a beating that night for sure, worse than any quick KO loss.

Both had a 10-8 round but Maidana also had a point taken off which stopped him getting a draw on one card and only losing by 2 on the other 2 cards.

You should re watch it, is a great fight, Khan was really dominating him in rounds 8 and 9 and looked like Maidana had nothing left which gives the impression that he was winning easily before the 10th but people forget rounds 3,6 and 7 which were Maidana rounds.

Maidana will have problems with Floyd, everyone sees it but you just never know, Maidana does have it in him but he has to have a perfect night i feel.
