based on his fight w/ aguirre, viloria needs to work on his defense. and i noticed that viloria doesn't move his head often and is very easy to hit. if he's facing a guy like arce, he can't do that rope-a-dope style he used against aguirre, he'd be ko'd.

if he meets rodel mayol i won't be surprised if the latter outpoints him round by round.

            Hi there buddy!

In the Aguirre fight, Viloria did not look like a Flyweight, much less a Jr. Fly. The lower weight classes are famous for hyper-activity and Viloria had the activity level of a middleweight. The spurts were few and far between. As for the rope-a-dope, I dunno what he was thinking. I have the feeling that Brian knew that he had a long night ahead and conserved his energy. So, rather than do handstands, I think he should take to the road more often. Do a Pac type of resistance build-up.

If Gorres only had the power of Viloria (or, Bautista) and a less suspect chin, I think he would have been the next Philippine wonder (after Pacquiao).

That Mayol! He's is a dervish! And one with power too! Based on the little I've seen of him, he's the goods. And he's young! Won the Philippine belt in only his 4th pro fight, wasn't it? That kid is special.

It would be great for the fans if they were both on 1 card but super fights are super fights and they deserve to be showcased as such regardless of how much the participants weigh.

Isnt Arce fighting Alvarez on the undercard of the PBF v. Zab PPV...if so Arce will have a life and death struggle with the Colombian...something tells me that Arce is tailor made for Rosendo...lookout!
I wanna see the Alvarez fight. I think Alvarez may be a little over the hill, but he is one of the most underappreciated little men of the last 10 years. He will give Arce hell for all 12 rounds.

we all agree here that Villoria its not ready for Arce.
                this young boy still learning..

if it would happen i think it would be the biggest fight at the lower class division.

I'll tell you, if Arce and Viloria fight, Viloria will get eaten alive. I think he should dominate at 108 for atleast another year and continue to grow as a fighter. He's too young and ineperienced for a fighter like Arce. Arce is too big, too strong, and too experienced. Arce has been there for a long time, and Arce is still coming up. Of course, Lacy is fighting Calzaghe in 2 weeks, and Taylor beat Hopkins twice and is scheduled for Winky. But Arce is another ind of monster. I think Arce should fight Darchinyan and Pongskalek, and then moveup to 115 to challenge Castillo. That would be a great fight.

Viloria fighting Arce right now would be like "Steroz" getting fed to Trinidad plus Arce is probably walking around 125-130lbs.

Arse belongs in 115lbs. no less! "Hawaiian Punch" looks filled out at 108lbs.

i read it this morning in the newspaper that viloria's next fight could be in puerto rico side-to-side w/ calderon, and could be that they will be matched up against each other soon. calderon is planning to move up to 108-lb division. calderon is slick but i think he can't handle brian's power.
