I have the poster of Ali doing the same thing underwater, and its just a fake training image.. they dont really do that but it looks cool to the fans to think they actually train throwing punches underwater as their training regiment.

They actually do it from time to time, but most of the time they have their head above the water and throw punches right at the surface, like Cotto was doing when he trained for Martinez.
