Its Arum, all Arum, he can't risk putting Rios and Provo in a fight where either fighter losing means him losing $$$, so he's not letting it happen.

I can pretty much guarantee you that neither Rios or Provo are afraid of fighting each other, and for the fans its a great tear up (I do agree they both need a break from the continuous pummelling they've taken last few fights), but Arum knows this will ruin his stable in many many ways.

    Simples.

I don't think Top Rank are keen but Arum actually mentioned the fight as a possibility in an interview so I think he was open. Maybe Todd DeBeouf or their matchmakers were less keen.

I don't think Banner Promotions really wanted Rios either. I think they want a stay-busy then to push for a Pacquiao or Bradley fight for Provo.

Fans wanted it, fighters wanted it, promoters had different ideas.

A Mayfield fight would be nice actually. Why not? Or give Herrera a rematch. Both are nice, stay busy fights for Provodnikov.

                    I will have to agree.

This is clearly a duck of Rios, they want no part of rios what so ever.

Why did the Rios fight not happen? I hope Ruslan isn't ducking him cause ducking is for cowards like Adonis.
