    I feel Stevenson beats Kovalev

Don't get me wrong I felt Kovalev looked good last night against a very good prospect in his own right and a prospect I feel deserves more credit than he received.

That Cedric Agnew is a good little fighter. I don't think I've ever been that impressed with a guy before who actually lost every round
Reminded me a bit of Winky with the high guard & that counter jab.

I just can't help but feel Stevenson is all kinds of wrong for Kovalev. He didn't have the volume he usually has & that will decline further against a guy with movement, feints & the animalistic power Stevenson possesses.
I feel Kovalev gets a bit frustrated when he gets hit at times.
He moves well but hes a bit off balance & clumsy on his feet at times. Agnew turned him a few times & his feet didn't react.
I think he struggles with lateral movement.

He was overreaching last night at times & off balance & tbh Agnew wasn't really showing a lot of movement. He was coming in, in straight lines & he had zero head movement.

I have no preference to who wins I just want to see these two beasts go at it but I do think Superman beats K.Ovalev by K.O/TKO inside 7

I have to say I am not sure he beats even a 49yr old B-Hop either
I feel B-Hop could well turn that into his slow paced fight & frustrate him to a UD/SD

He is a savage I just think both guys are a bit wrong for him, especially a fresh, fast mobile southpaw ****er like Stevenson.

And for the reasons you gave , you basically only said he struggles against lateral movement.

      You are reaching.

I wish Adonis was as confident as you, then we could see this fight in September

I agree with Dan on this. As much as I'd like to see him take over the division, immaterial of whether Stevenson wants the fight, I can see him winning it.

I can also see Kovalev being Hopkinated. We saw he had a bad reaction to a headbutt and low blow last night... imagine if he fought a guy who used that as 90% of his strategy?

            Nice try!

Adonis would not take such a "bait"... He's a pro...

Not sure about the Stevenson stance. Can't change Stevenson's chin. He'd have to box borderline perfect against Kovalev despite the flaws mentioned. Great post, Dan.

Stevenson has a shot but to me he looks straight up bad anytime he's been pressured. Against Bellew, when Bellew actually went forward Adonis looked stunned. Same thing against Don George, a fight that Adonis destroyed George in, when George actually threw punches, Adonis looked like he was in trouble. I don't think Stevenson is confident to exchange with Kovalev, he'll only hope that he can outbox Kovalev safely, and I doubt that's possible. Hopkins is too far passed it to deal with Kovalev. I don't see anyway he could beat Kovalev at this stage.

Stevenson obviously doesn't have your confidence, TS. He ducked the fight for a reason.
