Let's say he gets through shumenov, then decides he wants to make more history, could he beat either of them and become WBC heavyweight champion?

Could Hopkins beat the Arreola/Stiverne winner

Interesting proposition. One could easily classify this as ridiculous but it is a plausible scenario.
Sure, Hopkins is more skilled than Arreola and perhaps craftier than Stiverne but these are BIG 250-ish pound heavyweights we are talking about here. One well placed shot would most probably put Hopkins to sleep immediately. I doubt he avoids getting hit for 12 rounds.

I don't rate these 2 heavyweight pretenders one bit, I give Hopkins a great chance of licking them both

This is ridiculous. Hopkins is 49 years old. Either guy would kill him in there. Both guys are way better than John Ruiz which Roy Jones Jr. beat.

I like both Arreola and Stiverne, and aren't all that fond of Hopkins.and I clearly feel I'm not being biased when I believe both of them would KO him.he may be able to go a few rounds with the lazier Stiverne, but Cris decks him round one,no question about it.Last edited by Jewish-Reptile; 03-27-2014, 05:22 AM.

The Hopkins' "chopped liver" punch that folded DLH will be rendered useless against the sumo duo, Arreola and Stiverne. The thick padding of blubber that hangs over the torso will protect each brawler from body shots. The heavyweight titans would rain blows down upon elderly Hopkins, possibly fracturing the bones of his arms and wrists as he attempts to ward off the storm of sloppy shots.
