I think GGG needs move straight back down to 160 after this fight and stay there for now, he's an average sized middleweight, he shouldn't move up to 168 and risk losing fights until he's achieved everything he can at 160 and convinced everyone that he isn't a 'hypojob'.
I was saying this above: GGG would take the Jr. fight only to secure a future Martinez fight at 160... (The money and the pedigree win asked by Sergio)...
But Jr. isn't an easy fight -- the kid might emerge from lethargy...

Everything he does is deliberate. Very smart fighter. He gets hit in the same way Donaire use to take shots to create openings for himself.

GGG is honestly one of the most underrated fighters there is skill wise, which is sad, because he would be at the top of the division even without his power, just based on his skill level.
Best to ignore Kev and anything he writes regarding Golovkin, he's a hater plain and simple.

Are you Cuban? If you are, you can understand the "Soviet school"...

This fight makes sense for both fighters right now. I wish this fight was on regular HBO though. I don't feel like paying 70 bucks for one fight especially since Arum doesn't think undercards are important. So I don't expect a great undercard for this event which is the reason I'll pass on paying for this fight.

GGG has the edge, but Chavez is a very live dog if he comes in shape and ready. If he can consistently push GGG back he has a very good chance to win.

60-40 fight right now for me in favor of GGG.

I think a lot of people are just hating! They clearly see he's rocking people and knocking them down with crisp punches not wild haymakers

I wonder if this fight will show us Golovkin's inside game. He's been able to push his opponents away so far. But Chavez is probably too big and strong to push around.

Seeing as how GGG has the shorter arms and gets good leverage on his shots up close, I think it will benefit Chavez to not fight on the inside as much as he would prefer to.
